Is it wrong to be with someone you're not in love with?

If you were in a fairly long-term relationship with someone you loved, but knew you weren't in love with, but they thought you were the love of their life, what would you do?

If you know that you don't love them then it's not fair to stay with them- especially if that person believes that you do really love them and they love you that way. You both deserve to be with someone you truly love so staying in a relationship without love isn't fair

It's not fair to stay. My best friend is like that. He's been with his gf for over a year a and a half and he isn't in love with her. He said he could never see himself marrying her or wanting a future with her. He says he cares about her but he doesn't love her like that. He said he stays with her cause he knows she has no where else to go. I told him it's not fair to either of them. It's not fair to her cause she thinks he's in love with her and he isn't. And it's not fair to him to stay with someone he isn't really happy with cause it's easier to stay then start over with someone new.
