I just got my IUD (mirena) removed on Friday and started sprintec birth control pills that same day (about 9 hours later). My husband and I sex the next day  and didn't use a condom. Was I still protected since I had just taken out the IUD and started the pill that same day???

The pill is effective til you've taken it for 7 days, or immediately if you start it on your period. However, after the removal of an IUD it takes the average couple 4-6months to   conceive, so you should be okay
