How many ounces of water has your Medical Professional said your baby can have per day?

The BLW for Beginners group preaches 2 oz per day but I can find anything credible that states that. Our 9 month appointment just got rescheduled so I can't ask this week like I wanted to.

My ped said no more than 8 ounces but she only said that bc she didn't want him to get full on water bc he's low on the weight chart. :)
