nervous 😩 baby has chronic congestion

My son is 9 months. He was an emergency c-section baby and has been congested since birth. The first few appointments, I was told that c-section babies tend to be snorty due to leftover amniotic fluid. At his 6 month appointment, I was told it's normal for him to be congested and have colds because he's in childcare. We just had his 9 month appointment and I was told the same thing about daycare.

At this point, 1. I'm wondering why the pediatrician shows no concern that my son has been congested his entire life. And 2. I'm literally terrified I'm going to find out something is wrong with him.

I made an appointment with a pediatric ear, nose & throat specialist for Thursday. All of a sudden, everyone seems excessively concerned and it's making me sick to my stomach. I'm so scared.

Has anyone else's baby had chronic congestion?
