First cycle without treatment

Has anyone else experienced a late period the month following a failed IUI? My husband and I tried IUI in May and period came like normal at 28 days (my cycle varies from 28-31 days typically). This month was our first month in 7 months of no fertility treatments- clomid 50mg for 6 months then 100mg and trigger shot in May for IUI. I am now on cycle day 36, no period. I have had terrible cramps and tender breasts since Thursday when my period was supposed to start, but no bleeding. Has this happened to anyone else?
