I want to do something special for my boyfriend when he comes home he's in the army and I will only be with him for a week any suggestions?

My husband is a veteran, and whenever completed a tour or when he first arrived home from bootcamp and AIT, I always made special, one-on-one plans for us. I know many girlfriends and wives go all out with shirts, banners, and family parties, but he enjoyed just spending time together, away from distractions. I think the best 'Welcome home' I planned was a recreation of our 'teenage Friday nights'. I ordered his favorite food, set up our living room with a mattress on the floor covered with blankets and pillows, and rented a few of movies we haven't seen in a while. I know it may sound mundane, but after everything, they are usually pretty exhausted and a bit overwhelmed! Also, as a 'gift' I got him a puppy to 'take care of me while he is gone'.
