Tmi (no pics) clotting while on period

Hi everyone,

I clot regularly when on my period normally quite large and always blood red. I am on cd1 and have been gettig clots different to normal. These ones are smaller and grey in colour with the blood mixed in? Any ideas? Not worried but period a lot heavier and more painful than normal for day 1
