c-section.. helpful tips?

I'm about 39 weeks. 2cm dialated but doctor thinks baby won't make it out due to my pelvic size and baby size. I'm still going to try but if I have to have a c-section. What should I expect? Any tips? How long is recovery? How long would I have to wait for a 2nd child.. what's the worst? Etc etc - thanks so much!

Your doctor is scaring you for no good reason. It's exceedingly rare for a baby to not fit out of the mother....
There are many women who are under 5 foot and not even 100 lbs that deliver 10+ lb babies vaginally.

Don't let your doctor scare you. Baby's size is an estimate, and baby's heads are really soft because they are designed to fit through a small space. (That's why some baby's are born with a cone shaped head). Your body will only make a baby that you can deliver vaginally.

I had to have a csection the day before my due date bc my son was breech. The worst to me had to be the pressure, yes you cant feel any pain but the pressure was intense. Either my husband or I had my son the whole first hour he was born until he went for his bath and stuff. Getting up the first time was more scary then anything, first shower felt great lol. Getting around wasn't bad for me i tried to walk as much as i could slowely of course. I had my son fri morning and sunday at lunch we came home. Mine really was not bad at all, mentally it tough bc you know whats happening. Good luck!
