Can u still love someone after you've moved on?

My bf of a year and a half, and I broke up because of his mom (were 17), were gonna be friends. But we kinda talked about if it's meant to be we will find our way back to each other. I really care about him and I think he still does care about me. His mom doesn't like me because she thinks everything is my fault and idea when it's not 
But what if he moves on, can he still love me a little? 
I feel like I'll always love him
We were each other's first for everything, first love, etc

Though you're young, I still think this lesson can apply to you. If someone wants to be with you, they will be. Your boyfriend is still living with his mom and is heavily influenced by her but if he loved you he would have tried to convince her she was wrong about you. Therefore I would move on and not be friends. It's hard to be friends with people you once loved.

My ex and I had been together for 8 years and known each other since we were two. We no longer communicate and we've both moved on with our lives, but I will always love him. He was my world for a very long time.

Yes you can move on and still truly care for someone. I've been with my current boyfriend for 3 1/2 years but every so often I think of my ex who I truly loved at one time. We had such a strong connection, but dated at the wrong time in our loves. It can't be helped. I will always love him but I'm also content with my new relationship. Life happens, but everything always works out!
