In your opinion what is the lowest age a 17 year old should "talk" to. (Flirting/romantically)

Any more than a year age difference as a teenager isn't really a good idea. The maturity and experience different a year can make as a teen is massive. And a 17 year old? They're going to turn 18 and suddenly find themselves in serious legal trouble if they let things go too far with someone far younger.

In Canadá as long as the adolescent is above 16 they can have sex with anyone older (except if they hold power over the teen)

But id still say they should date within their age category because there is a lot of difference between a 17 year old and a 15 year old

I met my husband when I was 13, almost 14, and he was 16. We started dating when I was 14 and he was 17. We're 2 1/2 years apart, I think within 3 years is acceptable.
