There's a reason all the female led eras in different countries and cultures were always the Golden Ages for those respective countries. Women do it better.

Well it's difficult to compare as there's been so few true women rulers. Let's see though,

Elizabeth I ushered in a golden age, but that was only after her half sister fucked things all up.

Cleopatra, was a strong ruler and brilliant in many ways. It sure didn't end so well for her though.

Isabella, another strong leader who accomplished great things, but then she was mostly responsible for the Spanish Inquisition.

Today who do we have? I'm not going to even deal with Clinton. Angela Merkle is recognized as the new leader of the free world by many, but if I'm not mistaken she only narrowly escaped a recall. I'm pretty happy Marine Le Pen lost…

All in all I've got to conclude genitalia/gender identity doesn't have much to do with capability.   🤷🏼‍♀️

There have been excellent male and female rulers historically. There are more male rulers that were awful than women, but there have not been anywhere near as many women monarchs in comparison to men.

Queen Hatshepsut, of Egypt ruled for 20 years. She was the longest female pharaoh in Egypt, burning the 15th century B.C. She is considered one of Egypt's most successful pharaohs.

Her reign was peaceful, while building temples and monuments which allowed Egypt to flourish under her. She opted out of war, instead she implored diplomacy through trade, which brought her and Egypt great status. However, after her death her step-son Thutmose III, erased her inscriptions and tried to eradicate her memory.

My two cents just going on what I can remember down history classes and such.

Female rulers have always had tonight harder than their male counterparts to get in a position of power...so I would say that kind of drive and effort makes one a good leader.

There are also historically far more male leaders, so you are likely to find more examples of bad and good leaders just because there are so many more options to choose from.

I think men are more accepted in the leadership role(because society is full of pricks ATM) so they tend to have an easier time at it, women are constantly fighting an uphill battle even once they've attained the role.

A lot of great male rulers, a lot of great female ones. I suppose this may be screwed by the fact that mediocre or even bad male rulers have, for the vast majority of human history, been more likely to stay in power.
