Our first slept in a bassinet in our room until around 6-8 months (this was many years ago so I don't remember exactly), plan to do the same with the second when she arrives in a few more weeks. Our house is split floor plan and there's no way I'm getting up and going to the other side of the house a million times a night. lol I don't suggest bed sharing (unless it's a dock a tot or some others in bed bassinet). I've known way too many people lose a baby over bed sharing.

She sleeps in a co sleeper crib that's attached to our bed and she will do so until we feel she's ready to transition into her own room. She's six and a half months now. She does sleep in our bed, in the dock a tot, sometimes.
