Heartburn??

Sorry I might sound a little ignorant, but what exactly is heartburn? What are the symptoms? I think that's exactly what I have but I'm not sure🙍🏻😔 I feel stomach acid and appetite has decreased too! Currently 23w4d

To me it is intense chest pain. It didnt burn so I had no idea that was what i was feeling. But my grandmother gets it so bad she once thought she was having a heart attack it hurt to bad. 
It is like a slow throbbing pain. Like someone is slowly squeezing my chest really hard, and then slowly letting go.

My whole life I had never had heartburn once and then I ate a whole bag of flaming hot Cheetos in the beginning of my pregnancy and had this intense pain in my whole chest and throat and I honestly thought I was dying. But it was just heartburn 😱
