Hospital after birth?

Does anyone in Canada know how long they keep you in the hospital after birth? My mom was there less than 24 hours with my sister

I'm on hospital bedrest right now and asked this question a few days ago.  An uncomplicated baginal birth I was told 24 hours.  Longer if there's an issue.  A routine c section is 3 days, again longer if something's not healing or going as expected.

It's been 14 years almost since I had my baby vaginally in Canada but I had him Sunday night at 11:30pm and was discharged from the hospital at 6pm Monday night.

At the hospital I delivered at they keep you for at least 24 hours for insurance purposes  I am assuming. I was released exactly 24 hours from the time I delivered.
