Diaper change already?!

Hey ladies! Are any of the chunkier babies in size 4 diapers yet?

My little fella ("little" haha) is 20 lbs and 5.25 months. He has peed out of his diaper overnight twice this week. The pampers box says that 3s should go up to 28 lbs and that the 4s start at 22lbs but could these numbers be off?? Who has made the switch?

I haven't had this experience myself yet but I've had mom friends tell me that the weight ranges on the diapers (and clothes) aren't to be followed super strictly. No matter what a baby weighs, they carry that weight differently just like adults. So the same size will fit babies of the same weight differently. It's a good basic guideline to start from but go with what fits your baby best, no matter what the box says.

My son will be 6 months on the 4th if July and he's in size 4 diapers. He's been wearing them for about a month now. The size 3 wear getting really tight and he's only around 19 maybe 20 lbs he would have blow outs and leave marks on him so I switched to size 4 and no issues.

My baby is 6 month and 16lbs and we are wearing size 6 because she is tall and the other diapers won't fit on her hips. So we switched to size 6 and they are just fine. The weight specification on the diaper box won't work for us, because my girl is to tall and she pees more because she is older now. Would we use a smaller size the diaper would leak.

My boy is about 19 pounds and I think once we finish this box of 3s I'll be switching him to 4s.

My LO is probably only 17lbs but we may switch to 4s soon. She keeps having blowouts in 3s and they seem a bit snug. Don't follow the weight very strictly, it's just a guide. My son is 22 months and still in 4s, my daughter is only 5 months
