Letting baby feed himself. My son wants the spoon all the time and knows where his mouth is but have fed him myself thus far. He's 7 months in a couple days.

I always gave mine a spoon when they could hold it.. they always put the spoon in their mouth.. after a while they tried spooning it themselves. I can't remember at what age as they are now 10/9 years old but even though my LO isn't "eating" but when we practice with the spoon and little bit of purees he plays with the spoon and puts it to his mouth.

I always let mine try to feed himself when he has the want. Much messier, but it helps him learn the skill!
