And I do pick her up and cuddle her.  My mom says I am spoiling her but it won't be long before a cuddle doesn't solve all her problems.

Now that he is older, we are working on self sooth so I try to wait a couple of seconds but until we hit the 6 month mark, I pretty much go to him right away.

It depends on what kind of cry. If he is spazzing then I will definitely go to him right away. Otherwise I will give him a bit to figure it out on his own. He has to learn I can't always be there.
