As you grow older is it possible to gain an allergic reaction to something you've ate your whole life? For insistence........ all my life I have ate FRESH strawberries and would eat them with no problem... Now my mother on the other hand has always been allergic to FRESH strawberries and tomatos. So severely allergic that she would swell up when she consumed them...... the day before yesterday I had a cake that had strawberries baked inside of it and the frosting had fresh strawberries mixed in it. the next morning I woke up and I had red tiny bumps around my lips and they were red. This morning I woke up with my lips swollen and they are kind of tingling. Could this be bc I ate the strawberries?
