Poppy seed dressing?

I'm stumped on this. One doc said you can't eat poppy seeds because it'll hurt the baby but another doc said it's different. Anyone have input on this. I can't stand ranch and having a hard time finding a salad dressing for my snacks and we have always ate poppy seed dressing for our veggies.

I asked my OB this because I love poppyseed muffins. She said she wouldn't risk it. I don't think there are clear guidelines on it. Honestly, a couple times probably won't hurt but I wouldn't be eating it everyday.

You can have poppy seeds. Just like if you aren't pregnant, don't eat a lot of them. I've eaten plenty of poppy seed muffins(because I love them) and it's fine. I researched it because I know poppy seeds are opiums, but it cannot harm your baby.

They say that they can contain morphine or pesticides. But that most poppy seeds that are in food are fine. Ask your doctor but anything in small amounts should be fine, like your dressing.
