I like him more than I should

The guy I am head over heels for wanted to sleep together. I said yeah of course well Saturday his boss/friend gave him a hard time (jokingly). He had told my coworker yeah he was interested and then after his managers "joke" he went and told my coworker no he wasn't going to because of his boss. Yet right after he came back over to me and was like "you make me nervous. Being around you I get nervous". I giggled he continued to flirt. When I asked him when he wanted to have "fun" he smiled and said no he couldn't. Were 12 years apart. He was suddenly like "you're young and I'm old. Let's just be friends." Then he told his manager he wasn't showing up Monday. Well yesterday they said they weren't too sure if he was coming back at all.
