So much cheaper!! Lol but yes you can bottle feed and breast feed.  I pumped for a long time!  Made it to 9 months before my supply was gone!

If you talk to your doctor they can give you flyers on all the pros to breastfeeding. You absolutely can pump and breast feed at the same time. A lot of articles recommend feeding baby and then pumping immediately after to build up your supply. I'm going to try to pump as soon as I get the hang of feeding baby so there is a nice stock when I have to go back to work at 3 months. The cons are there are a lot of dos and don'ts out there and you have to listen to some and throw some away. Everyone's BF journey is going to be different. Do what works for your family. It will be very time consuming and where I work even pumping twice a day is going to be a huge pain in the ass. I plan to do it as much as I can but there may come a time I mentally can't handle it anymore but I'm trying to stay positive about it. Also, there are some doctors that will recommend supplementing with formula if baby isn't gaining weight. There is nothing wrong with this and I've read many stories where it takes women and their babies a month or more to completely get breastfeeding to work. It's a commitment but worth it.

I did for a while but it's draining. I decided to exclusively bottle feed and after a month she won't latch, screams and cries when I try to put her to my boob. It's heart wrenching and I really regret weaning her so early. Now I'm stuck with bottles and sad I can no longer breastfeed her

I wouldn't go half breast milk half formula but if you mean half on the boob and pumping the other half then you'd be fine.

However, my Dr recommended to not introduce bottles while breastfeeding until after 3 months so the baby doesn't get nipple confusion. The motions they make with their tongues while breastfeeding and bottlefeeding are different.

I think mostly positive things come from breastfeeding if you choose to do it, the only set backs would be personal comfort. Breastfeeding is a very demanding and sometimes very frustrating process.
