How bad is labor??

This will be my first baby and I'm super nervous about labor. I'm just curious to know, how bad is labor??? The closer I get to my due date, the more nervous I get.

It's terrible 😂😭 I was in labor for 31 hours before I had to have a csection

It starts like period cramps and then becomes like your stomach is being ripped open and a ring of fire around your vagina and thighs (atleast for me) if you can get up and move through most of the pain it's worth it... 
Not moving sucks .... 
Naturally happened way faster for me then when I had an epidural...we tend to think we can't handle the pain we can't do it... Most of the time our bodies can our brains won't let us.. 
You will get through it :). Just remember that even if you get an epidural sometimes things happen (mine fell out) so I ended all natural in the end (ouch) but the end is worth it and you get a beautiful baby :)

It's different for everyone! My labor was amazing though. My water broke at 3:30am, I didn't get contractions until around 11am, and they got a little too much for me to handle around 1:00pm, so I got the epidural and was in HEAVEN after that! I didn't start pushing until 10:45pm, and before I started pushing I told the nurse I had cramping in my lower abdomen, and my back was killing me. She checked me and it was time to push! When the baby was crowning though that ring of fire they describe is REAL. It's so much pressure that it fucking burned. I hyperventilated and broke blood vessels in my face. Once I caught my breathe though and concentrated, out he came! I'm not trying to scare you, lol. It's honestly NOT that bad! I only tore internally a little bit. I was most afraid of the first bowel movement after having him, but I went the next day and there was no pain at all. My advice to you is to get the epidural, listen to the nurses and doctor when they tell you to push, and BREATHE! You'll do great ☺️

It hurts, but you can manage. Finding the space between the contractions when you can relax and really leaning into that time is extremely helpful.

So different for everyone! My friend's babies practically fall out of her. I have to work for mine lol, but I say anyone can do anything for 24hrs (then my first labor was 30hrs😜). Second labor was only barely 9hrs. Hard for sure, but with the best reward. Think of the end result and you'll make it!

Labor is just constant pain the contractions hurt and get more intense. Whether you decide on drugs or not is up to you. But the pain is intense. If you have had Braxton hicks then you have a glimpse of the type of pain you will feel.

I've done one natural and two epidurals.

As I'm currently pregnant with my 4th I'm thinking of natural but who knows I may change to drugs lol
