Advice please?

How do I tell my boyfriend that I want to get engaged soon without scaring him or pressuring him. He and I communicate amazingly! I just dont want to freak him out or feel like he has to propose... any help would be great

You could be like "haha yeah it would be nice if you could hurry up and tie the knot" or continuously play single ladies. Lol idk but I would do things like that. Joking around about it can hint without being too serious.

This is such a coincidence because I was trying to do the same thing and then today I finally gave in and during a conversation with my SO about his tooth hurting I casually threw in "you know, if we were married you'd be able to go to my tribal dentist" (I'm Native American and we have our own dentist), so honestly just start throwing it into conversations like that to kind of give a subtle hint
