Did anyone on here tear during labor? Is so, please share your experience.

I have a left labial and a mid line tear I have no idea how many stiches I have or anything. Tomorrow makes my son two weeks old and all I know is the healing has been more painful than actually giving birth.

Hopefully you won't tear, but if you...your peri cleanse bottle is your best friend , and tucks(witch hazel) pads. When you pee, it WILL feel like bees are stinging your vagina. Take courage , as many have been through this, came out on the other side, and even decided to have more children! I tore on three sides, got 19 stitches. I'm hoping for less tearing this go round...that's right, I decided to do it again lol !

I tore. Then my daughters head still kept sliding back in. So they gave me an episiotomy. By the time she came out I had a level 4 tear( or whatever they call it) it was horrible.

I pushed for 3 hours with my son. When he came out I had a 3rd degree tear. It took 3 surgeons to repair the damage and reconstruct one side of my vagina. The recovery actually wasn't bad at all. 7-8 hours later I was up and walking and showering. I was hardly sore and didn't have any pain just a lot of swelling.

I had a very small first degree tear. I only needed a stitch or two. She 8.9lbs so I was a little surprised it wasn't worse. The recovery wasn't bad for me at all.

I had a small tear with my third due to how quickly he made his appearance lol. Just needed a few stitches maybe three at most and healed really quickly

I had a terrible second degree tear. She said I was just a few cm away from a third degree. It took her about a half hr to suture me up. I had an epidural so i didn't feel it at the time, and they kept me iced for quite some time so it wasn't too bad. But let me tell you going home and recovery was a real B**ch! I found my self sobbing in the bathroom many times. The only thing that made it better was knowing I had this amazing baby out of it lol. I would hold it all day so I would only have to pee a few times a day, which probably just made it even worse from the consintrated urine haha. But it gets better, ever thing heals! I do tend to have throbbing tho on the scar tissue when AF comes. 
I'm pregnant with my second and Im so nervous to go threw it all again lol but it's so worth it.

Yup a few places, none serious. The only problem was that she gave me a fucking husband stitch and it took me 2 years to enjoy sex again. Stupid resident.

I had a smaller tear with my first. It only needed three stitches. Didn't take long to heal at all and I couldn't even tell you were it was now. Hopefully I'll do that well with my second!

I had a small first degree tear with the second, recovery was a breeze. I really couldn't even feel it. With my first I had an episiotomy with several stitches and it along was a bitch. My stitches tore my skin open and it healed improperly.
