Massage while pregnant? (Not prenatal)

Is it safe to get a non-prenatal massage while pregnant? I'm only 5 weeks and have a girls massage day planned tomorrow but am not ready to share my news.

My masseuse wouldn't allow me prior to 12 weeks. They then required a doctors note when I started my second trimester.

Speak to the Massage Therapist privately, as a Beauty Therapist i wouldnt suggest it as it is a Precaution but you not that far along... would say it would be bad if you have blood clots that run in the family, just tell them to avoid the Tummy area if its a proper full body massage

There are pressure points you should avoid so it's best to tell the therapist even if you say you 'may be' pregnant privately. Some places don't allow first trimester massage because they don't want you blaming them if you happen to miscarry.
