My husband and I spent 5 hours in the ER today after I had been spotting for 5 days. I had made an appointment to see my doctor today, but when the spotting got heavier this morning, they told me to go to the hospital.

Unfortunately the ultrasound revealed no fetal heartbeat. I was 9w3d based on my LMP. They estimate the loss was a week ago. I was told that everything should pass without a D&C.; I'm also getting a referral to some kind of post loss clinic.

I feel quite lost and heartbroken. Not even sure where to turn for reading/information. We want to start trying again as soon as we can but I don't even know when to expect that to be.
