Milk supply can only be gauged by baby's weight gain and the amount of diapers they're having. If both of those are in the normal range you're fine.

I did not engorge much with my first baby. The best way to check supply is through your baby. If they are wetting and soiling enough diapers and gaining weight. You have enough milk. If you are very concerned see a lactation consultant and they can weigh your baby before and after a feed. That's the most direct and accurate way to know for sure.

I voted yes. After you get balanced, your boobs won't be hard anymore (unless you skip a feed or pump). I only had engorgement for a few weeks. Lack of supply is actually not very common, and feeling more soft than hard is actually a sign that you are producing appropriately.
