Symptoms of PP infection (Help!)

I have had bad smelling blood and now discharge for 8 weeks now, since the birth of my baby....no other symptoms!! But I'm starting to be anxious and worried abt it...i had my PP appointment more than a week ago and still no results...usually results from my hospital come back much faster. Should I be worried? And even if I have some infection is it serious? Sorry...I have anxiety and I'm worrying prob overboard but advice appreciated pls! Help calm my nerves;((
