UPDATE! My contractions finally went down to 5 minutes a few hours ago, and I'm at the hospital now! Only 2 cm still 😭 but 90% effaced and they're keeping me here! Hopefully I'll have my little girl tomorrow morning!

I'm 40 weeks and have been having contractions for over 24 hours now. Today they're averaging 7 minutes apart and are a minute long. But I still haven't reached that consistent 5 minute apart milestone. I'll have a few 5 minutes apart, then 7, 6, 8, 7, 9, and so on. They're definitely getting more painful. They started out like normal period cramps and are now way beyond that. I've also had lots of bloody mucus - I thought I lost my plug on Wednesday but it just keeps on coming. The idea of another night of sleep interrupted by contractions sounds awful. Should I stay home and just continue to wait it out or go to the hospital?
