When did everyone buy the cot?

I'm 20 weeks, when did everyone buy the cot?? I just want to have everything ready!

I'm 18 weeks and my crib is in the mail and on it's way. I'm only going to have my son in the room with me for the first two months, then is in the nursery from then on. I don't want him getting used to being in the room with me and making the transition to his own room difficult.

I got mine less than a week after my bfp, but that was because it was originally a $500 crib and the lady had barely used it, selling it for $40. So I jumped on it lol

Is a cot a crib? I didn't buy one until he was almost 4 months old. He slept in a bassinet in our room for the first few months.
