Can I paint my nursery?

Am I allowed to paint the nursery? I'm 22 weeks along and I've heard some people say go for it and some say the fumes are too bad! What do you guys think? I'll ask my doctor at my next appointment to be sure but I just wanna get painting!!!!!

Look for paints with 0 VOC's!  Sherwin Williams paints are great!  Then, like someone mentioned above, lots of ventilation! Have fun!!

Go for it, keep it well ventilated though, and if you start getting a headache step outside and get some fresh air

As long as it has no fumes or chemicals u should be fine I.e emultion x

You can always wear a mask too. I wore one before I was prego and painted with oil based primer because the fumes were so bad!

Gases from remodeling done during pregnancy or the baby's first year were recently linked to asthma. Personally I wouldn't paint at all. Certainly have someone else do the painting and stay clear of the room until it no longer smells if you must paint.

There is a place called lullaby paints that have safe paints for mom and baby. Look up lullabypaints.com they will even send you free samples of their colors. I will be painting my nursery at 24-25 weeks with this paint. But I would still keep it as ventilated at possible.

Depends what paint you use. In the UK I think that standard emulsion would be ok. Always make sure doors and windows are wipe open and I've heard that you should wear long sleeves to make sure you don't get paint on your skin. But it won't hurt to check with your doctor :)
