How old were you when you felt ready for a serious, long-term relationship?

I don't know if it's when you feel ready or when you meet your person. I met my husband at 16 and we just knew we wanted to be together forever. 6 years later we're married with a beautiful 1 year old baby boy.

I never dated until I knew I was ready. I didn't want to waste my time. At 18 I decided it was I was ready for a serious relationship. Meet my boyfriend just before I turned 19. It's only been a few years but I can't picture myself with anyone else.

I always thought if you were in a relationship for a year or more you must be in a long term/serious relationship. If that were true I would have been in my first one when I was 17. But looking back I don't think any of them were serious cause they are nothing like the relationship I'm in now. I actually can see a future with my bf. We make plans for vacations, and moving in together, we know that we will be together forever. So I can say i had my first serious relationship when I was 23. I'm 25 and it's still going strong. N I love him so much more than I did 2 years ago.

I'm 28 now but was 27 when I entered a serious long term relationship and now it's been a year and a half. I love him even more now as odd as it sounds

I've dated just to have a status. I felt kind of left out because everyone I knew were in a relationship, which is very sad. I definitely had low-self esteem issues. I got into my serious relationship when I was 28. 7 years later we are married with a 1 yr old son. This is the happiest I ever been. I guess my point is never settle.
