Hello!!

I have been on bc and Metformin for 7 years. I have had regulated periods all 7 years, like clock work actually!! When my husband and I decided to start TTC my gyno said to be off birth control for 3 months to get it out of your system and start prenatal vitamins. April was my first month not taking bc and I had my first period the beginning of May (about 1 week later than usual from when I was on bc). After that period its has been 2 months!! I just started my period today, 2 months since my last one! I am still on Metformin and taking prenatal vitamins. It has now been 3 months off bc!!!! We are ready!!!

So my question is... has anyone had an experience like this when you stop taking bc? Has anyone had regular periods right away? Could this have been the 3 months my body needed to get rid of the bc and maybe now it will be regular? Is anyone still getting unpredictable cycles and periods? If so, how long has that been? Are you on Metformin too? Please share your experiences so I can feel prepared for any situation!
