Back labour?!?

I'm 8 days away from due date I've been up ever hour with pain in my back which is becoming worse and more intense!! I dunno if I should hold off? Or phone unit... I'm not having contractions but this pain isn't going

Sounds like you should go in. Better safe than sorry. Hate to have a baby in the car :( or at home!

That's where my contractions started when I went into labor! Call your doctor. Good luck!!!!

All I can say is I had back labor and it was the most intense pain I have ever felt- not mistakable for anything else.  The twisting knives analogy is very apropos.

If it is a feeling of knives twisting and turning in your back that is coming in waves I would definitely call labor and delivery.
