Braxton hicks?

I'll be 26 weeks this friday. Is it to early to be getting Braxton hicks contractions? Very painful as well. I didn't get them with my first child until after 32 weeks.

It's not that  it's painful but just like cramps. On my left side mostly. I have a call into the ob for her to call me back.
