First off, Rip poor girl. This wouldn't be a way in which I'd like to pass away. This is in no way looking down on or insulting her specifically. But will we ever learn not to use our phones near water? Especially when it's plugged in. I don't even bring my phone with me in the bathroom when I'm showering...

I use my cell phone to play music in the bath tub, but not when it's plugged in. Yikes poor kid.

It's very very sad and I'm not blaming the poor girl but I thought this would have been common sense? Maybe they could better teach these things in science class, like link it better to everyday situations but then where do you draw the line? Hopefully this will raise awareness for others

Water + Anything electrical = is a BIG no,
There are like a million movies where  thats  how someone  dies, its kinda common sense. 
Poor girl,  even worse if she was texting someone and being on the receiving end of it.  You'd have to feel guilty to.

When I was a child my mother told me a story about a woman who electrocuted herself in the bath by dropping her hair dryer in. I've never even thought about using plugged in electronics in or near abate or body of water.
