Langston Tamir has arrived!!!!!
So both my previous babies were preterm at 32 weeks and 33 weeks and I never labored with them due to emergency csections. So I preface this with me not having a clue about the absolute PAIN of contractions!
Went to bed at 11pm with some cramping but wrote it off as pregnancy pains. At 2am I was WOKEN by my contractions and knew it was time. DH (dear husband) was frantic and luckily my son was at sleep away camp and my mom answered immediately to come get my daughter and dog.
Got to the hospital and checked in by 3:15am and was contracting every 5 min but was just 2 cm dilated and 60% effaced. After 3 hrs the shift doc claimed I had not progressed but started IV fluids just in case BC I had a repeat Csection scheduled for 7/21. Well thank God the shifts changed because the next doc quickly checked me and said I was dilated to a 3 but at least 80% effaced. He seemed annoyed by the prior doc. By 9 my doc was in and let me know it was GO TIME!!!!! Yessssss no more pain and no more pregnancy!!!!!
Langston was healthy but not maintaining his oxygen well. I saw my baby for about 30 seconds cheek to cheek and They took him to the NICU. I was soooooo upset. A couple hrs later and he is off oxygen (yay!) and being monitored so hopefully they bring him to me very soon! I'm super anxious. Good luck to everyone!
My sweet boy was 37 weeks 4 days and weighed in at 6lbs 9 ounces. Good luck to all you mommas!!!!!!!
