Hi all I'm hsv2 positive and was dx back in March. This is my third outbreak overall, second while having medication.

My blisters started appearing so I've been taking my valtrex twice a day. It seems the blisters are "going down" after day three of taking the meds. My question is should I massage the area with soap and warm water with a washcloth to break the blisters? Or should I just wait for the medicine to clear it up. Which would make heal time faster?

I'm visiting my long distance boyfriend this weekend (he is also hsv2 positive) if my OB is already on it's way out and I've been on the valtrex for five days, are we safe to have sex?
