Bay shower

I'm having my baby shower this Saturday. The only thing that is making me change my mind is bills need to be paid. I never had a baby shower and this is my last chance to have one. Part of me wants one and the other part wants to pay bills instead. What should I do? I sent out invitations and only about 5 to 8 people are coming. Even some of my family is not going to be there so why have one when your own family can't support you. I'm just hurt right now. My husband says it's up to me but I'm not sure what to do. Should I cancel or have a baby shower. He is due in a few weeks.
