Nexplanon & imbalanced period

I'm 25 with two children. I had implanon for 3 years after I had my son. Initially, I got my period for basically five months straight. But after that, it just stopped. And I never had it until after I got it taken out to try and conceive my daughter. After giving birth to her, I wanted to get back on this bc & found they'd changed it to "nexplanon". I didn't think anything of it. It's been 2 years & 3 months since I got it back in and my period is SO irregular. Some months it'll be MIA & the next month, I'll have it twice with about a 4 day break in between. Period lasting for 5-7 days. It's miserable for my husband and our sex life 😒

Doctors just chalk it up to being the birth control and never give me any kind of solution. Anyone else experiencing this or something similar?
