How you feel if every time you took a day off to have some "me" time, your SO either takes off too or leaves work early when you clearly said you need time to yourself?

I'd be kind of annoyed but flattered at the same time. I'd still do whatever I wanted to do. I.e. Netflix binge with ice cream

I could see myself being a little annoyed but ultimately I'd be happy about it. I love when hubby asks to spend time with me.
And if it was reversed... I tried to spend time with hubby and he acted annoyed I'd be hurt.

I would personally be happy because my husband works crazy hours so sometimes I feel like we hardly see each other... but if you need time to yourself, definitely tell him.

I.  Would. Love. It. BUT when I say time alone I mean with just him and or kids. I'm not really into alone time. Extrovert here. 
He needs it sometimes and I respect that. Though it's REALLY hard to leave him alone ever. I know it's something he needs so when he tells me he needs some alone time I give it to him. Communicate your needs. Maybe your SO is like me and doesn't feel that need.

If I take a day off work that's a big deal. It's either because I'm deathly ill, vacation or my senior clinician gives me a day off and covers my shift because I've been on call and haven't slept in days. Then I really appreciate my boyfriend taking a day off to spend it with me (when possible since we're LDR it's a little more complicated). Sure I take me time- but usually that's for a couple hours while he cooks or something and I take a bath, go to the gym, ride a horse, etc. But 9 times out of 10 I'd rather spend a day off with him. Even if it's just laying around watching Netflix and napping.

I would understand someone being upset because they're wanting time to themselves but I also see this as a "compliment" in a way, like the persons significant other just wants to spend time with them or wants to be there to take care of them if they need it. I see both point of views lol

I love spending time w my husband especially when we have Netflix binges. My favorite me time is when I go shop, whether it's groceries or just for fun. But if he wanted to come, I'd be fine w that too.. I just know he wouldn't because I like to take my time and he's and in and out kinda guy w grocery shopping. You should be super flattered he wants to see you but if you truly want to be alone just speak up. He will understand!!
