What spelling makes you pronounce the name as "A-shuh" (long "A")?
My husband and I want to name our baby girl A-shuh. Like geisha but without the "g." It's a family name that has been in my genealogy for 100s of years with all different pronunciations and spellings. We are looking to find the best spelling that will prompt people to pronounce it correctly. Which spelling would make you pronounce our daughter's name correctly?
