Boy troubles

So I'm in summer school and they mix all of the schools in the county together and there's this boy in my class who is from a different school. He's very cute and pretty sweet. I haven't had like a full on conversation with him (although I would love to) and I would really like to go up to him and get his phone number but I have like zero confidence to do it. Every time I go to talk to him I chicken out either because his friend is right there or because I'm over thinking it. I'm not really sure what to do so if anyone has any ideas or tips that would be very helpful and very much appreciated 😊😊
