How did YOU know you were pregnant?

Question

Besides a missed period - how did you guys PERSONALLY know you were pregnant? There are so many "early symptoms" lists but so many actual symptoms that aren't on there. My mom knew she was pregnant with me when she took a drink of cherry coke (her favorite drink) and it made her puke. She immediately knew she needed to test. 
I'm currently 8 days late for my period (I've never been later than 5 days!) and took a test yesterday and got a BFN. I've been having odd symptoms and NO PMS symptoms at all. Is it still to early to get a BFP or is there still a chance for positive?

Had dizzy spells, nauseous 24/7 but it was worse in the morning. The smell of certain foods make me even more sick. I missed my period but thought it was stress because I gotten a negative test. Then my skin was dry. I got very bad hot and cold flashes then period like cramps. My nips were kinda sore but not how like all girls on here describe. Like if I poke them, they're tender.

Personally with my first I knew I was pregnant when I tried to sleep on my stomach and suddenly I rolled over and just 'knew' I couldn't sleep that way anymore because I was pregnant. A few days later got a positive. 
With my second it wasn't as clear. I started losing a lot of weight but I was still pumping breast milk for my first so I didn't think much of it, just tried eating more. Then I started getting nauseous for odd reasons and feeling really tired. Took a few tests and got several negatives before a positive.

I tested the day after I randomly caught the end of Legally Blonde and it made me absolutely sob my heart out. I remembered being over emotional with my first, and we were trying for our second, I got my BFP the day after.

I went out to eat one of my fave foods with my husband and immediately afterwards felt nauseous and sick to my stomach. That day when we were grocery shopping I picked up a test and tested positive the next day😁

11 days late. Went to work was extremely nauseous. Went home took a test at 330pm. And BAM dark dark dark line! Extremely positive! Was 5 weeks and 2 days along!!!

I gained a lot of weight the first two weeks and I started getting pimples (I NEVER EVER get pimples) so 3 days after a late period I tested and it was positive. Now I'm 36 weeks.
