No HCG or Progesterone tests?

I'm seeing all these women posting about their HCG and progesterone numbers but I have no idea what mine are. My doctor didn't order any tests, just scheduled an appointment for 10 weeks. This is my first time being pregnant. Do they only check those numbers if you've had a miscarriage in the past or might have something wrong (like bleeding or super painful cramps)? I'm so worried that there will be something wrong and I won't know till it's too late and I've already been excited for 6 weeks.
I'm just worried that I'll have a miscarriage and they'll find out later that it was due to low progesterone and they could've fixed it with pills.

You'll see a lot of pregnancys from assisted conception, like mine is ivf so I had bloods at 4w2d then 4w4d will have another tomorrow at 5w1d and an ultrasound at 6w1d. When you have paid a lot of money to get pregnant you get a lot of extra testing.

Totally normal not to have any testing. Sometimes doctors are just different, and sometime yes, there is a concern from past experiences. Don't worry mama! Keep that excitement alive!!

This is my first pregnancy too! My first appointment is July 31 and I'll be8 and a half weeks ! They haven't ordered any blood work or anything yet ! I'm freaking out too but so excited for our first baby 😍👶🏼💕👏🏼

I had to have a test at 4 weeks 2 days because I was spotting and cramping, otherwise I would not have had it so early. If you get concerned that anything could be wrong, call your doctor - I bet they'd try to get you in earlier!

I only got blood work done because I'm in the military and they have to do a blood test to confirmed a pregnancy.

My dr didn't run any testing either, when I called to make the first appointment he skipped right over it and went straight to scheduling the ultrasound. Don't worry!

I have lots of monitoring since our pregnancy is from IUI.

I had blood work done at about 6wks (US is scheduled for 8) and they didn't even check either of those (I specifically asked if they were sending HCG and was told it's not customary at their office unless there is an issue). They sent a bunch of baseline stuff - blood type, thyroid, some viral titers since I am exposed to viruses at work, etc. I feel like they were being very proactive and complete so I figured not sending HCG must be a reasonable thing.

I only had blood work because I had a miscarriage at the end of May...my first time being pregnant though my OB didn't check my levels they just scheduled me for a 10 week appointment and that was it but I also changed OB's after my miscarriage bc I felt as if I wasn't getting appropriate care as an expecting mother.
