Biters?

Question

Anyone have experience with their  7 month old biting them? I'm bleeding now and when I pump there's blood in the milk. 😱 I love nursing but this is taking a toll on the boobs and just don't want to do any permanent damage for the future and for this nursing journey. I plan on nursing as long as possible

Say "no biting" really loud when it happens. It might scare them at first, but that's ok. My son bit for a while right after he got his first teeth. After I scared him with the "no biting", he mostly stopped. Sometimes he kind of taps, and then I say "no biting" again. It's gotten much better, the bites rarely hurt anymore.

when he would bite me I would yell as loud as I could. ow! like so loud it scared me too. and then take him away from my boobs for a little while. but I would do it on purpose every time. it would scare him a lot and after 3 or 4 times. He quit biting.

I came on here to ask about it. Omg it hurts so bad and he gets bottles during the day so he's bad at nursing cause he's impatient with it and so he bites and I scream and he cries and I don't want to latch him again because I'm scared!!

I don't think it can cause permanent dams he.
I had a biter. Lasted a couple months. Once her top and bottom teeth came in she never bit me again. 
I had infected nipples a few times. 😬
Fortunately I was able to clear it up on my own without needing a prescription. I used the kellymom method of you look up the post called Healing Cracked Nipples.

I tried a bunch of different things and what worked for me was this. 
She never bit during letdown so I would unlatch right away. Sometimes even before it was finished because I had no way of knowing when it was going to end.
Reminding her also worked well. As soon as she latched I would say ' no bite mama'. I kept saying it and when i unlatched her I would praise her and make a big deal about it.

Blood in the milk is okay so there's no need to get rid of it. They cannot bite when actively sucking. Pay close attention to the suck pattern and remove them when they're just messing around. When bitten break all body contact, say no bite - mama hurt. Eventually they'll catch on.
