Metformin with pcos

So last year I was diagnosed with pcos..

I've tried for 3 years to get pregnant with my second child.. every time only ending up being a miscarriage.. so I went to the local women's clinic, which is where I found out about pcos.. I just took my first metformin pill yesterday.. just wondering if it really works or not..
