Chronic Migraine treatment?

I have chronic migraines and am limited to what I can take to treat them. Tylenol doesn't work. I was looking into to alternative medicine. Has anyone tried acupuncture? If so how did it work for you and how long did the results last?

I'm hoping to find something that lessens the frequency. I seem to be waking up with them and they're lasting all day, which makes it very hard to work. My doctor put me on a prescription of Promethazine yesterday. Made me very tired about midmorning. I don't need anything to make me MORE tired right now, so this may not be what I need.

I've done acupuncture for migraines. I felt it lessened how often they occurred . Never went to treat one while it was happening.

I have chronic migraines as well and most of the time I just have to wait them out. Sometimes a heating pad on the back of my neck helps,or a cold pack on my forehead or neck. I go to the chiropractor when they get really bad and that seems to help as well.

Following this I'd like to know too .... I do find that running my head under a very warm shower head helps ease mine and my partner massages the side of my head in a way that I can't replicate that really helps too !
