Would you be pissed??? *EDIT*

So I took my 10-11 year old male dog to the vet today. He got sedated, shaved, bathed, nails trimmed, and a nose to tail exam. He has arthritis and need medication for it now. I told them when I was paying that I just wanted to pay for what he had done while there for this time around and my husband and I would talk about meds and everything else he needs done. He needs a lot by the way. The grooming and everything was about $45-$50 and the exam $45. Well they tried to send me home with pain killers for him for his arthritis. I told them that my husband and I didn't have the money for that right now, just for what he had done today. Well she told me he really needed them and I said yes, I know, but I can't afford them right now. Thankfully I also had a 20% off discount card because we only had about $100 for the whole thing this time around. Well she told me my total after the discount was put on and it was $105.75. Well, I pay and get home and get him settled and look in my bag they gave me with his updated papers and everything and they freaking have the bottle of pills in there! So I look on my receipt and they charged me for them even though I said no! They gave me a 30 day supply instead of the original 60 day supply, but still! I told them no meds right now! I am so pissed. There isn't another vets office around here though! I have a right to be pissed right? Do you think I could take them back and make them give me back my money?!

* yes, I know he needs them, but they could have waited 2 weeks till our next paycheck like I told them! The fa t is they charged me for something I said NO to, more than once. He needs them yeah, but we need food more. He also needs food more. He has been fine without them this far, it could have waited.

* and 1 last thing, I didn't ask for the dog. My husband's mom came and dumped him on us when she moved away. Literally unlocked our house and left him in there with his supplies. I didnt have heart enough to take him to the shelter, because it's a kill shelter and I didn't want to risk him never leaving alive.

*EDIT*

Ok, some of you ladies need to stop. like right now. Yes, it was only $5 over, but that $5 pays for his wet food to help soften up his dry food because last year I took almost 2 pay checks ($400-$500) and had him have dental surgery. My MIL didn't take care of his teeth and he had to have most of teeth removed. I am doing all I can for him. Both of our paychecks this time around have big bills to pay. Our insurance alone is $800. I can normally get him what he needs, but this time I couldn't. It's not that I can't afford him at all, just this vet visit. I WILL NOT be putting him down, that's absurd. I also will not be putting him up for adoption. I love him, he is my boy, he just has to hold out for me for 2 weeks. He will be fine. So stop telling people to just randomly give a dog away from a perfectly loving and good home or just randomly kill the innocent thing. It's bullshit. excuse my language.
