My 6 year old daughter was having stomach pain Wed night. I had to work Thursday and throughout the day I was checking up on her and was still having pain but no other symptoms. When I got off work came home she was STILL having pain. So I took her to the hospital she was now having pain on her right side frist it was in the middle. The Dr did a urin test and a xray to see if she was constipated. The doctor tried to tell me she had a UTI and was going to send us home. I thought about it and then told the doctor no you need to do further testing on her she doesnt just have an UTI??? The Dr ordered a Ultrasound and said it was an inclusive and that we need to go too the Childrens hospital so that way they can do a CT scan .. Children Hospital did another ultrasound and sure enough she needed her appendix removed ... She had her appendix removed the next morning. We are now at home ... Im glad I have some medical background and also to listen to my gut instincts.
